About the Author
Cheeky and Charlemagne is award-winning author Donna Seim’s third novel for middle grade readers. Donna’s love for children and children’s literature has always been her passion, along with her love of animals.
Her first novel, Hurricane Mia, is an adventure story set in the Caribbean. Charley, her second novel is based on a true story of an abandoned boy in 1910. Charley has been awarded the Eloquent Quill Award, Top Honors from the Literary Classic Book Awards, and first place in Regional Literature from the New England Book Festival. Charley, the book, has now been adapted as Charley, the play, and is being performed in New England theaters.
Donna is also the author of two award-winning picture books, Where is Simon, Sandy?, and Satchi and Little Star.
Asante Sana Tanzania is Donna’s first armchair travel book, which takes the reader on safari in Africa. The title has won two national awards.
Donna is a graduate from The Ohio State University with a BSSW in the field of social welfare. Donna also holds a MA in Special Education from Lesley University.
