By Claire Hebert-Dow
Saving Mama is the tale of a woman’s travels in uncharted territory. With the help of some unlikely warriors—five kitties and one pup—she discovers that life isn’t always what you expect, but it can be more than what you dreamed possible.
Advanced Readers’ Comments:
“Saving Mama is a must read for insight and inspiration. It should not go unnoticed that her moral compass is affirmed by her donating the proceeds of Saving Mama to the Working Dog Foundation.”
—Thomas F. Casey, Managing Principal, Discussion Partner Collaborative, Author of five best-selling books on leadership
“Engrossing read about a single mother trying to make her way, defying the odds in finding success and happiness.”
—Katherine Dormody, Director, Gilford Public Library, Gilford, New Hampshire
“Saving Mama is a window into the private life of a mother as she tackles motherhood, being a woman working in a man’s world and discovering who she is, all through the eyes of her beloved canines and felines. Saving Mama shows the real struggles, pain and happy moments of motherhood and the deep connection between a woman and her pets. I found myself laughing at Claire’s sassy attitude, cheering her on during life’s difficult moments and crying for her losses.”
–Amy Southard, author of Witches of Holy Orchard
“Claire’s memoirs are easily relatable on many levels for me. The struggles of a woman in a man’s world of business and finding solace in unusual companions. Her kinship with her pets speaks to so many of us who have felt that special connection. A worthy and engaging story.”
—Lauren Lyons, Entrepreneur, Laconia, New Hampshire
